De Onderstroom (the undercurrent) is an initiative by Jan Rotmans, in collaboration with Manon van Leeuwen and Tijmen van den Heuvel.

The term ‘De Onderstroom’ was coined by Jan to describe the people who aren’t waiting for change; they are the change.
And don’t be mistaken, we’re talking about 1.5 billion people worldwide. You might not always see or hear them; they are the roots of the transformation our world desperately needs.
